Description
Turn an everyday paper bag into a colorful reminder that someone in our community is cared for. Participants will decorate bags with cheerful artwork and encouraging messages such as “Enjoy Your Day,” “Choose Joy,” or “You Are Loved.”
The finished bags can be used by local organizations to package meals, groceries, or other essential items for community members. Suggested nonprofits where you can donate the completed bags will be provided in the project instructions.

This project is suitable for individuals, families, schools, businesses, and other groups. It is simple, flexible, and easy for volunteers of many ages to complete.
How it works:
- Pick up your prepared project from the Volunteer Center of Lubbock.
- Decorate each bag with colorful artwork and an uplifting message.
- Select a nonprofit from the suggestions included in your instructions.
- Deliver the finished bags to help make each recipient’s experience feel a little more personal.
Each decorated bag adds encouragement and care to an everyday delivery.
Community Service Verification: If you are completing this project to fulfill community service requirements, the finished project must be returned to the Volunteer Center of Lubbock. Our staff must receive and review the completed items before we can verify your service hours. Projects delivered directly to another organization cannot be verified by VCL.
