VOLUNTEER CONNECTION
- Services and resources were provided to 15,540 people
- The number of individuals registered as volunteers on the website increased 56% and the number of online referrals increased 98%
- A total of 55 organizations posted or maintained 184 volunteer opportunities online, representing a 25% increase in the number of organizations utilizing the website and 66% increase in volunteer opportunities from 2008
LEADERSHIP CONNECTION
- 727 people attended 85 Volunteer Center of Lubbock's workshops, site-based consultations, and trainings
- 994 people took advantage of other management assistance services including low cost criminal background checks, the community board bank listing, and quarterly brown bag networking lunches
- Participants gave an average value rating of 9.63 on a 10 point scale for the workshops, consultations, and trainings offered by the Volunteer Center of Lubbock
- The number of individuals who participated in the Volunteer center of Lubbock's Leadership Connection Program increased by 138 from the previous year. (2008-1,583 / 2009-1,721)
YOUTH CONNECTION
- 169 youth participated in leadership programs, totaling 1,891.5 hours and including 75 community service projects
- 100% indicated their life was enhanced through their service
- 100% indicated interest in utilizing Volunteer Center resources in the future
- 36 secondary schools participated in the Youth in Service Program. 13,521 students documented 90,796 hours of service, raising $149,185 for organizations and service projects
- Assessing the importance of youth in addressing community needs, agencies responded with at 9.77 rating (10 point scale)
